Well, week #5 has been a rough one for Patrick... as he got his first cold this week. It started Monday as just a cough, then it kept getting worse until he was coughing so hard he was choking and spitting up...then came a stuffy/runny nose! He seems way to little to have such a bad cold.
We went to the doctor Wednesday afternoon, the doctor wasn't happy with the way Patrick sounded so we ended up at the hospital lab to run an RSV test, thank goodness it was negative (otherwise I think we were headed toward being admitted to the hospital, because he's so young and that can be a very bad virus).
The last couple of days haven't been much better, (there's really nothing we can do, as far as medicine goes) so it's a lot of cuddling with mommy (and daddy in the evenings after work). I'm just praying it's a short lived cold and we'll notice a change soon!! It's so hard to see him be so miserable and I can't help :(... I guess I'm getting introduced to motherhood very quick!

So these photos aren't very cute, but it's very true to how our little guy is feeling these days.. and the bottom photo is me with Patrick in the carrier, it has helped free up my hands to have a little freedom to get some things done while still "holding him".

Aww!! Poor Patrick! I hope he starts feeling better soon. It's no fun when they are sick!! I love the picture of him cuddling you in the front carrier.
