Week #1

Patrick is laid back with his ankles crossed relaxing.

Funny story, about this photo... On Tuesday our Carbon Monoxide detector went off and had to call Alliant Energy to check it and to be safe in the meantime they had us keep the baby in the basement... and it's very cold down there right now, so we bundled him up and he didn't even mind wearing his hat (that turned out to be slightly large) but made him look even cuter than he already is... P.S. Carbon Monoxide levels were ok, just a very sensitive alarm.

This was our welcome home sign Madeline, Matthew and Stephanie made for us...

Grandpa & Grandma Houser with their youngest grandson!!

"Auntie Alicia" with Patrick and Matt... Patrick is named after Alicia's late brother Patrick who was Matt's best childhood friend.

Well we made it through our first official week at home with Patrick. It is great... I mean I won't lie I am lacking in the sleep department and learning as we go... but so far so good. It really is amazing how much you can love someone you just met a week ago!

My mom has been here all week to help out and is headed back home today, so it will be a true test to parenthood when it's back to just the 2 of us ( + Hobbs). It's going to be scary, but I'm sure we'll figure it out...

Once again life really is great!!

He is so cute! Funny story -- we had the EXACT same situation during Kaden's first week home. Carbon monoxide detector went off -- we took him to our neighbors, and since it was the end of March, it was warm, so no big hat!! It was nothing! Take lots of pictures -- you won't believe how tiny he is 2 years from now!
