Well it's official Patrick Ryan is 6 months old. Scary and exciting at the same time!! Patrick had his 6 month well-child check up today, and it went well...I hope that trend continues...he seems to really like his doctor and is always smiling and talking to him. I was estimating that he weighted approximately 20 lbs today since he sure feels like that...but it was officially 18.3 lbs (55th%tile) and 27.5 in. long (92%tile)...so as of today, he is a long and "thin" baby... I say "thin" because he has a lot of rolls and some seriously chubby cheeks :) I love it all!
Matt has been out of town for work this week so it's just been me and the little boys (Patrick & Hobbs)...so far we are all surviving :) Matt knew I was dreading him leaving this week so he arranged ahead of time to have flowers sent to me at work on Wednesday...not just any flowers, 4 dozen multi-colored roses! Yeah, I was just as surprised!! They are beautiful and really made my day/week!! It was actually a dilemma of where to put that many flowers in our little house...so I did leave a bouquet at work...the patients love them...so not only did Matt make my week but also a lot of patient's, ahhhhhhhh!!! Enough about the flowers....we are just really excited for daddy to come home tomorrow!
We had Patrick's 6 months professional photos taken on Saturday... they went great! He got sleepy by the end, and you can tell which ones are at the end because just like always he found his 2 middle fingers (he doesn't take a pacifier...just sucks his fingers)! They totally reflect him...a happy baby boy!! :) Feel free to take a look... www.sarahmcconnell.zenfolio.com (or www.sarahmcconellphotography.com) This photographer is a friend of a co-worker who lives in Urbandale...she's an OB nurse and is great with children!! We will definetly be going back! We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
Tonight, Patrick and I went to his first parade..it was the start of the Boone Co. Fair and there was a small parade, mainly tractors and horses! He watched every minute of it, and seemed to enjoy it! It was cute to watch!
Here are some random photos from today...

I checked out the 6 month pics...super cute! Nick's brother Ken used to suck on those two fingers when he was little too! Only Ken had a fat belly so he would suck on his fingers and rub his belly at the same time! Looks like you guys are doing well, miss you!
