So the day finally came...Patrick turned 1. Not that I didn't think it would, but just not so fast. I don't remember time passing so fast until I became a parent. The first year was full of many milestones for Patrick which made us lose track of time.
Patrick had a great 1st birthday. Grandma Lynda, Madeline and Matthew spent his actual birthday with him since Matt and I had to work. He loves cake, but isn't too interested in getting super dirty. That's OK by me but I thought kids loved to do that!
We had the official 1st birthday party on Saturday (16th). Since our house is so small we moved the party to our favorite restaurant "The Gigglin' Goat". We had a lot of family and a couple of friends join us and it was a great time had by all! Patrick seemed to have fun and loved opening his presents (actually I did the opening, but he loved to see what he got). It's times like that when you realize just how truly blessed you are. Thanks to everyone for sharing in our special day!
