Pufferbilly Days, Mud Volleyball and Iowa vs. Iowa State

Last weekend was our first "Pufferbilly Days" in Boone. We had a good time. My sister and her family were able to come up to visit for the weekend.

Saturday was the Iowa vs. Iowa State game in Ames (15 minutes East of Boone). As always it was a good time and Matt had a few tickets so he took Kris (my brother-in-law), Uncle David and his friend "Mo". They had a great time, GO HAWKEYES (the winner by far)!!!

While they were there, we got the true Pufferbilly Days experience, Madeline & Matthew ran in the kids fun run, they showed me up Matthew ran 800 meters and Madeline ran 1 mile (WOW, they did great)! Then it was off to the parade, we had a good time...it's a LONG parade, but Patrick seemed to really enjoy it... he loved to watch the bands! Also he loved the beads that a lot of people threw out instead of candy.

Sunday, Matt and I played mud volleyball on a team for the hospital. Matt woke up so excited that morning, that he had my sister shave his hair into a mohawk... It was great (no it didn't last past that day). We got DIRTY, and had fun even though as a team we were eliminated early on. We can't wait to do it again next year. Though I hope Matt learns one very important lesson, DO NOT WEAR YOUR OAKLEY SUNGLASSES IN THE MUD, YOU WILL LOSE THEM.. :) If you can't tell, he lost his sunglasses...o-well it allowed him to get a new pair, maybe he planned it!

Patrick at his first Pufferbilly Days....lovin' the beads!
